Start off strong with Hogeschooltaal in 5 steps
Step 1 - Logging in
Go to the website www.hogeschooltaal.nl. Click on ‘inloggen’ in the top right corner of the page and select ‘docent'. Enter the name of the university of applied sciences where you work. You will be redirected to a selection menu. Click on ‘Direct inloggen’, and you will be taken to the login page. Log in with your personal credentials. Don’t have a teacher account yet? Request one via support-hogeschooltaal@noordhoff.nl>
Step 2 - Organize an introductory lecture
Introduce Hogeschooltaal with an informative introductory lecture. This will motivate students to start working with the program. Feel free to use our presentation and you can set up a diagnostic test (see step 5).
Step 3 - Create groups
Once your students have received or purchased an account, you can place them into groups to maintain an overview. To do this, click on ‘Groups’ in the top left corner, then select ‘Add new group’. You can only add students who have an existing account.
After creating the group, go to ‘Basic skills’ and click on 'choose a group' on the right side of your screen. Select the newly created group to monitor their progress.
The instruction video is in Dutch. If you would like to have one in English, please let us know.
Step 4 - Invite your students
There are two ways for students to start using Hogeschooltaal:
1. Central purchasing
2. Book list
Step 5 - Conduct a diagnostic test
To get a clear picture of your students current skill level, you can have them take a free diagnostic test. This helps students identify which areas they need to practice and which they have already mastered. Even students without a Hogeschooltaal license can take the free test. Read here more about taking tests via Hogeschooltaal.
